Treasure the Women in Your Lives

Mangalore, March 8 , 2010

A Woman is God’s wonderful creation. Here is a mail I received recently which sums up the qualities of a woman and I feel it is apt to share with all of you today as it is the International Women’s Day. It goes like this…

‘Women have energy that amazes men. They meet difficulties and manage serious problems, while remaining cheerful, loving and joyous. They smile when they want to cry out, sing when they want to shed tears, cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They battle for what they believe in. They rebel against injustice. They do not accept ‘no’ for an answer when they think there is a better solution. They deny themselves to keep the family sustained. They go to the doctor with an anxious friend. They love unconditionally. They cry when their children achieve success and they rejoice at the good fortune of their friends. They are happy when they hear talk of birth or a marriage. Their hearts are bruised when a friend dies. They suffer from the loss of a dear person. They are strong when they think they have no more energy. They know that a hug and kiss can heal a wounded heart. There is no doubt that a woman has a defect. It is just that she forgets what she is worth….’

Yes…indeed women are very special. Care, warmth, compassion and unconditional love are their standing traits. It is rightly said that a value of a priceless woman is far above rubies.  She is so precious.

It’s pretty hard for men to imagine life without women. Be it in the form of a mother, sister, daughter, wife or a friend, women perform their roles to the best of their ability and are a source of strength and emotional support to men. Their presence, their care and warmth plays a vital role in men’s life. I’ am sure many men will readily agree with me on this.

Women have certainly made enormous progress in India compared to yesteryears yet the gender inequality still prevails. In one or the other way women are subjected to systematic violence in some areas, the worst being the cases of rape. It is the crudest way a man can show his physical strength over a woman. It’s high time for all the men across the world to realize woman’s worth. They too have equal right to live life the way they want.

It’s a special day for all the women. So all you men out there realize the value of woman in your life and make them feel special. They just need your love, care and attention. Give it to them in your own ways and treasure them forever….

For some men women is Goddess and for others vice versa. It all depends how the women takes men into confidence. We can not weigh all women in one scale and God alone knows about Goddess.

Women, women and women! They are the cause for all the evil, frictions and troubles! At home and the workpplace! I hate them! Just joking Veekshita! To be serious, yes, they are loving and precious, and we men can`t live without them. However, I agree with Roshan`s comments above that while Mothers and Sisters are special and precious, as their love and care is unconditional, he is not so sure of the modern young women.

Today`s women are more materialistic, career minded, selfish and less compassionate and caring towards their spouses or partners. By the way, these days, women are everywhere - at the workplace, in the news, radio and TV media and the social scene. They are being given all the importance, and in fact, can I say, pampered, while men are being sidelined and ignored! So what are you complaining about, Veekshita!?

I accept woman's role in the form a mother and a sister. Her love is unconditional. Are you sure with sentence you have used “ women are very special. Care, warmth, compassion and unconditional love are their standing traits”. We need to re-think about the reality. All young man must beware of woman's role in the form of a friend!(Meant for Unmarried couples only).

Today’s young women are not like earlier Innocent women. Most of them do like men for only their selfishness .Their love towards men are not from their deep heart & all their aim is only to steal your money. Their crookedness make them think how to draw all your bank account eventually.. Finally It will end up with Ruin. I am not a supporter of sri Rama sene or any other anti social groups!. This is just a Fact!

There is no better word than "mother". Only a woman can be a mother. Men cannot entirely fill their shoes. She lives for others to live. A sacrifice indeed. Just imagine a motherless child. Its Gods way of creation.

There is only perfect child in the World and every mother has it. On International Women's day - I salute all the women of our humanity who in their relational functions: as companions, sister, wife, mother contribute next to God best to our Humanity since the day one of the amazing humanity. As the Judaic proverb states: God could not be everywhere, therefore he created mothers. No name better replaces God than the wonderful word MOTHER.

Veekshita - Why Injustice for women by giving only one day ?
All 365 days should be for women since she (Woman) is mother, sister, daughter, wife and no doubt she is precious.
I should say happy woman days.
however, good article keep it up.

Women are better than men. Women are with soft nature. Men are with cruel thinkings & works. All the wars in the history made by men which killed crores of people.

Women are privileged creation of God. They would not let even God to give an unsatisfactory answer to them. Even God knows that very well.
Once, a woman died and gone to heaven as she was sinless. One question was troubling her when she was alive and was determined to ask God if at all she gets a chance to see him. Once God was on his stroll this woman stopped him and asked “why did you create man before woman”. God knew the women’s attitude that without a pleasing answer they wouldn’t leave him in peace. So he thought for a while and said “my child to create a good design one needs a rough sketch”.
