Breastfeeding - The beginning for a Healthier Planet!

Is there any safe place for a new born in the whole wide world?
Question appropriate, when we are reeking with a pandemic
Definitely, I do not want to debate
That there is no better place to rest
Not even, calm a nursery one can find
Than that of the soft mother’s breast close to her heart
The world breastfeeding week is observed every year

The first week of August is dedicated for this goal
To inspire, protect, encourage and hear
The mothers who are breastfeeding and every soul
To promote a positive breastfeeding culture
So let us support this tradition for a better tomorrow

The theme for this year is ‘Breastfeeding for a Healthier Planet’
Clarion call for all mothers and others alike
To showcase the benefits of breastfeeding
The best gift that a mother could give her new born
With all the additional bonuses that come its way
For an ever strong, enduring and lasting bond

No words in the world can ever define
No rhymed poetry can ever describe
No song so popular can ever bring justice
No genre of novel can ever discuss
The ‘Love’ that is expressed
When your little one is nursed

Oh, Mother! Don’t you ever hesitate
To feed your baby with the best food manufactured within yourself
Do not get wavered with catchy advertisements
Be aware that no formula proved equal to breast milk
Remember is not only your right but even more your baby’s
To be nourished and nurtured with the best of the best!

Breast milk is thus rightly called ‘Liquid gold’
Some even call it the ‘Elixir of life’
How else could you describe?
A blessing to human life
That fuels the energy to behold
Life that becomes your future!
