Bantwal: 15-yr-old school boy drowns in river while swimming

Bantwal, Nov 11: A boy who went for a swim in the Nethravathi river drowned in the water near Brahmarakotlu of B C Road in Bantwal Taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Salman (15), a resident of Madda of Parliya of BC Road.

As there was a holiday for schools on Friday, Salman, along with four other boys, had gone for a swim near Brahmarakotlu Bantara Bhavana. While swimming in the river, he drowned.

Salman was studying 10th standard at Best English Medium School in Kaikamba of BC Road.

Bantwal Police have visited the spot. The mortal remains have been taken to the mortuary of Bantwal Government Hospital.
