Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 4: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 42 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday raising the tally to 32,071. Out of these, 565 cases are currently active.

A total of 3,77,306 samples have been tested. Out of which, 3,45,235 are negative.

As many as 20 people were discharged on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 30,791.

A total of 715 deaths have occured so far.

Over 15,258 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 16,35,172 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,759, including 17 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 196 cases are currently active.

Over 2,52,854 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,30,095 have turned out negative.

As many as 17 patients were discharged on Friday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,376.

A total of 187 deaths have occured so far.
