Udupi, Oct 29: In a press release, B Narasimhamurthy, chief secretary of district Congress party said that Kaup town municipality member Suresh Devadiga is suspended with immediate effect.

Suresh Devadiga violated the whip given by Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, district president of Congress during the election process of the president for Kaup town municipality and stayed away from the election process.

Ashok Kumar Kodavoor suspended Suresh Devadiga for his anti-party activities, according to a press release sent by Narasimhamurthy.
