Mangaluru: Christian girl observes 21-day fast for Goddess Sharada photoshoot

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Oct 27: Navaratri festival was celebrated in many places in spite of the disastrous consequences of Covid-19 pandemic. Several online competitions were held. Mostly, photoshoot of Goddess Sharada by some enthusiasts had gone viral. Meanwhile a Christian girl from Mangaluru has observed fast for 21 days for the shoot.

While photoshoot was held in some places purely for fashion, Anisha Angelina Monteiro has observed fast making sure that her fasting does not affect religious reverence.

“I was selected for Goddess Sharada photoshoot. I decided to fast for 21 days respecting the religious tradition. I am thankful to people for the encouragement,” said Anisha.

The photos have gone viral on social media.

    Beautiful.
Adornments of Divine personalities by us ordinary people remains in our hearts for a very long time. Whether it's Deepika as Sita or Rupa Ganguli as Draupadi, we have their picture in mind as Sita and Draupadi. Anisha's looks too will remind us of Goddess Sharada for many more years.

Wishing you good luck in your endeavors young girl.

Today our society is tragically and viciously divided into various religions !!! There is an open attempt to antagonise, ferment communal anarchy, in our nation.. Elements are using enemies, to polarise and destroy our cultutal heritage.... The need of the hour is to bring humanity back into our existence.... Anisha as a Christian, you have certainly set an example of tolerance, in an environment of hate !!!!

Co-existance is more important than religion. May she be blessed by goddess Sharada. Religion has only created hatred and division.

She is matured and she can fast or observe any feast or follow any religion. This is her personal life. Who are we to question.

In Europe & USA there are so many Christians follow Hare Rama Hare Krishna , No one is bothered & no one should be, it is you and your faith
But forcible conversion is not correct & condemning others religion is one's weakness.
You got the right to preach good things on this earth i.e the right way to get salvation & go to heaven  and I got the right to follow the right path.

Rajesh mangalore/Dubai,dont compare European christians who follow Hare Ram and krishna,to Indian christians. They are only names sake christians ,hardly follow any guidelines. They are mostly dont even belong to religion .so easily fall when someone preach something .Here this girl did a fotoshooting for Navararathri as Sharada.Noone can say anything against it.she did fasting for 21 days.let her.I do appriciate it.she looks very attractive .congratulations.

    Hi Rita
I am not saying that she has changed her religion or she will but it is her wish to follow any feast or faith. My comments are based on others' comments & not on the article

In Europe / USA Christians follow Hare Rama Hare Krishna,  again I am not saying here what is right or wrong. They like it hence they follow, we are no one to judge and No one is putting false cases against the preacher's aboard.

In India also should be the same, Anyone can follow any religion, None should have problems,  As per Article 25-28 of the Constitution of India. Every citizen of India has a right to practice and promote their religion peacefully. Whoever follows it let them follow, At the end whose name is written in the book of life they will be saved right ?.

Forceful convertion is wrong But many places in India whoever preaches peacefully false cases are filed against them stating forceful conversation is taking place. Only by living peacefully with our neighbors we can attain peace in India.
Thanks for giving me opportunity to explain it in a better way.

Jealousy isn't a pretty ornament to wear Juliana aunty. Also zero figure models aren't natural either but no one tells them to gain more weight to look natural.

I don't understand this terrible situation since 2014, it wasn't there before...

Why do only Catholic Churches/ Christian brothers organise "Sarva Dharma Sammelana" event in every christian festive time?

Why don't Hindu brothers call for it?

Do they feel insecure in this earth planet since 2014?

Rashad, may i gently remind you that Christians are conservatives, but certainly they are not fanatics !!!! Their incredible outreach to the marginalized citizens, across our nation, contributions to education and health sectors are second to none !!! This is despite their minuscule population...
