Mangaluru: API website launch at FMMCH, live telecasted on YouTube

Mangaluru, Jun 22: The website www.apidk.org was launched on June 19 at Father Muller Medical College Hospital by Dr B H Krishnamoorthy Rao, founder-president of API, DK Chapter at 3 pm. Dr B H Krishnamoorthy Rao spoke on the initial days in 1991 when the association was established with only 35 members and now it has grown to 160 members.



 

Fr Ajith Menezes administrator, FMMC was the guest of honour. He spoke on the use of technology in the present COVID era and the importance of virtual meet. Dr H Prabhakar, interventional cardiologist, Father Muller Medical College Hospital and the former president of API DK Chapter spoke on the importance of a website for API DK Chapter to foster communication among its members. The guest speaker Gerard Colaco spoke on effective personal investments in COVID era. The function was presided by Dr Venkatesha BM president, API DK Chapter. Vote of thanks was rendered by Dr Mohammed Ashraf, treasurer. The introductory note and insight into the website was given by Dr Archana Bhat secretary, API DK Chapter. The programme was live telecasted on YouTube https://youtu.be/6P18FN5eYP0, and was viewed by more than 150 participants.

The Father Muller Medical College has been at the forefront of medical education and has incorporated the e-learning into its curriculum even prior to the COVID pandemic. With a strong and gifted faculty, the college has catered to many budding physicians. The Father Muller Charitable Institutions has supported events in the medical and allied health college realm, thus helping its students and faculty to ever broaden their horizon.
