Abu Dhabi travel ban for 1 week - Permits for movement necessary

Abu Dhabi, Jun 2: To facilitate movement between cities, Abu Dhabi Police has announced a system of permits in the emirates. These can be availed for vehicles which want to move between cities during the restricted movement period from Tuesday June 2 for one week.

The permits can be obtained via the 'Traffic Permits System-Abu Dhabi' on the official Abu Dhabi Police website.

Abu Dhabi Police also stressed that the residents adhere to decisions issued by the authorities and urged the public to comply with the specified timings of the national sterilisation programme.

A Facebook post on the official page of Abu Dhabi Police read, "Abu Dhabi Police has announced that permits for movement between and out of the cities of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi during the travel ban period which comes into effect from Tuesday June 2 and will be in place for one week can be issued through the 'movement permits system - Abu Dhabi', on the Abu Dhabi Police website. Abu Dhabi Police called on the public to adhere to the decisions issued by the competent authorities and to comply with the specified timings of the national sterilization programme within the emirate's cities."
