Puttur: Advised to wear masks, angry youngsters attack staff with helmets

Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, May 27: Wearing of masks has been made compulsory in public places in the interests of people to stay safe from coronavirus. It is surprising that people who fail to comply with this rule also get angry when they are reminded to follow the rules.

In an incident which happened near the Reliance Mart at Puttur, a group of young men, who took umbrage at the advice given by the security guard to wear masks, attacked him with helmets.

A group of youth had tried to enter the shop without the customary masks. The security guard, observing this, had asked them to wear masks before entering the shop. The group then indulged in friction with the security staff and also attacked him with helmets.

On the basis of a complaint relating to the scuffle between the staff and the group of youngsters, a case was registered at the town police station here.

I fully agree with you & this is exactly the class which is targeted to be brainwashed. But it also depends on ones brains whether to make place for good things or bad things. Several of my friends of this class come & tell me what nonsense they are told to follow but they hear it from one ear & leave it out from the other

Poor staff, Its the same 'common factor' you see everywhere instigating trouble. When cornered and arrested they play the victim card and shout ''phobia'' and blame the Central Govt.

What common factors you saw in it ?

I can only see few angry hooligans, idiot's youth were creating ruckus !! Who need to be punished.

But it is surprising that someone reading this news find a 'common factors , or use a word like familar looking culprits to generalise it to all other people.

May be you don't how much it humiliates good one's.

The police must take action on these cheap hoodlums. Just lock them up in jail and give a good beating. After that as someone rightly suggested put them in institutional quarantine and with positive tested patients. Pity their parents who could not give proper guidance to them from their young age.

Looks like u enjoy a lot of freebies mr sri.. Shamelessly pathetic !
As masks are so cheap, why don't u donate some , especially to idiots luke these !
Malls are walking on a tight-rope ..there is no need to increase their burden.
And in the meanwhile, y don't you do some clean-up & knock up some logical sense in your puny head !! Your dumb "#itsajokeicon , doesn't make your ridiculous statement funny.
This act of hooliganism by youngsters is atrocious, unacceptable & condemnable. Keeping oneself and others safe is each &everyone'a responsibility.
We, are not out of the woods yet...and if there are idiots like them and freebie mongers like you...then....😱

Wearing a mask, is a mandatory duty for every Citizen venturing out in any public places... These hooligans must be arrested, hauled over charcoal, fined and sentenced to Rigorous Imprisonment as per IPC.... Vividly recall, Doctors, Nurses and medical staff being abused, assaulted by brainwashed hooligans, for testing and sanitizing people in red zones areas.....

sri elder karkala, one side you have right.other side these hooligans have come certianly for a purchase instead to make some problems. If one is bit educated and feels towards the community responsible ,will also come with mask and not attack security personal with helmet.Instead he will excuse and say sorry and wear mask.It is not enough to have money or passed some degree, but should feel bit like responsible and adult.
