9 active cases test negative; Goa Covid tally at 38


Panaji, May 22 (IANS): Goa's tally of active Covid-19 cases reached 38 on Friday, with two fresh positive cases added to the list, even as nine persons were discharged after successful treatment, from the designated Covid-19 hospital to institutional quarantined centres, state Health Secretary Nila Mohanan said on Friday.

Mohanan also said, that nine persons had tested negative for Covid-19 on more than one occasion, would be admitted to seven days in an institutional quarantine centre and later to seven days in home quarantine.

"We also recorded two Covid-19 cases, both of whom had travelled to Goa separately by road," Mohanan said.

The Health Secretary also said, that the state government was awaiting guidelines and standard operating procedures for handling of domestic passengers in Goa, even as the central government has allowed domestic flights from May 25.
