Mangaluru: Sahyadri College conducts e-classes for uninterrupted learning

Mangaluru, Mar 31: Effective from March 30, the Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangaluru conducted Engineering and MBA classes through Information and Communication Technology (ICT) mode using various online platforms like Zoom and Google classrooms.

This was possible with the initial trial run during the entire last week by creating online content and videos. With the well-structured time table and competent faculty, Sahyadri is moving towards one common objective of uninterrupted learning. Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) vice-chancellor, Dr Karisiddappa is closely monitoring the E-classes.

  

Majority of the students are logging in for their online classes, and are giving their feedback on the learning outcomes immediately after each session. The feedback is giving a boost to the faculty to deliver the best lectures and also innovate in the teaching-learning process. The collective efforts of both faculty and students have heightened this initiative.

    These classes are happening in all the VTU affliated institutions as it is mandated by the university. Hope all the students benefit from it

    Yes, our online classes are happening in ZOOM app as per the timetable starting from 9 o clock and the online sessions are helping us and we are not missing out on any important updates.

    A very good initiative by the management and the faculty.

    Really appreciate this gesture, as the students are unable to attend classes at the campus due to current situation and lack of conveyance .

    This is the real Digital India.
    I am proud to be a Professor at Sahyadri.
    I engaged my lecture today and all the students were present, moreover very happy.
    They have also volunteered to work on mini projects to effectively utilize the free time during lockdown to emerge as winners.
