Mangaluru, Feb 26: Tulunada Rakshana Vedike led by its president Yogesh Shetty Jeppu gheraoed Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) office here on Wednesday, February 26, over irregularities regarding single site approval.

Tulunada Rakshana Vedike alleged that MUDA has been involved in giving false information over the single-site design and are trying to cheat the government and landowners.

A land in Kodialbail, Mangaluru, has 0.37 cent, but as per land conversion order, it shows 0.35 cent in the land sketch and instead of the remaining 0.2 cent showing eastwards, the document shows it towards the north end.

But as per MUDA, when they produced a single-site approval sketch, the 0.2 cent land disappeared from the sketch. Hence, false information was mentioned in the document.

In the single-site sketch, it shows the 6-meter existing road, while as per the original sketch it has only 4.5-meter private road on the northern side, hence displaying wrong information in the single-site sketch. The advantage of this is when the building is built on the said land, they will get a provision for constructing an extra two floors and therefore increased the square feet.

Tulunada Rakshana Vedike demanded an immediate survey of the place and inclusion of the missing 0.2 cents in the single-site design.
