Udupi: ‘Those who raise pro-Pakistan slogans should be severely punished’ – MP Shobha Karandlaje

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi

Udupi, Feb 21: “A new trend of shouting ‘pro-Pakistan’ slogans is picking up. This is a planned strategy to propagate the values of Muhammad Ali Jinnah,” lashed by Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje.

Speaking to the media in Udupi, she said people are being paid money and pressurized to say such statements for publicity. “Those who raise pro-Pakistan slogans should be severely published. There is a need to bring a change in the state and country laws. People enjoy benefits of this country but raise pro-Pakistan slogans. The people who propagate these attitudes should be identified. An investigation should be held and organisers of these rallies should be questioned. Amulya’s parents need to be questioned,” she said.

She also alleged that Amulya’s father who is from Koppa has close contact with Naxals. The police know about this. Amulya’s father is in contact with Sirimane Nagaraju and Naxal supporters. Investigation should be held and all should be arrested for sedition, she said.

“No lawyer should agree to fight their case. In the Hubballi sedition case, a lawyer from Bengaluru is fighting the case. No lawyer should agree to take up the cases of those who are anti-India. Those who disrespect India should be severely punished,” she said.

Responding to D K Shivakumar’s statement that Amulya should have been given a chance to talk, Karandlaje said that D K Shivakumar is not an original Congressman. A real Congressman would have never made this statement. They say that Congress was the party that fought for freedom. An investigation should be conducted against D K Shivakumar for his statement.

There is a need to identify those who are brainwashing the youth and are paying money to carry on these anti-national activities, she said.

Some questions creep up in our minds,
I feel youngsters speeches will be moderated by the organizers.
She must have wanted to prove that people are silent to Pakistan slogan and cheer up for Hindustan slogan.
Point is why did Owaisi allowed her to speak and abruptly interrupted? To frame her? Doesn't it appear so? Why did she join Owaisi party? Biggest mistake of life.
Govt' s point is understandable, for anyone opposing. CAA & NRC will be seen with doubt, but it looks like going overboard in this matter.
If she really means Pakistan Zindabad then she deserves condemnation, if she sincere, clarify and apologize, she should get benefit of doubt.

Well, everyone has freedom to keep their views in a democratic country.
I don’t understand how is this sedition.
It’s wrong if she says Hindustan Murdabad.
People who have come out of India and living in gulf or other countries would have come across many Pakistanis. I do have some good friends from Pakistan. Im not saying we don’t have issues, but what’s wrong in saying Zindabad.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also said it in Pakistan and how many of us condemned it.
Are we trying to target the vulnerable or the people who speak against the centre.

That's the point, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar also praised Pakistan, but he is very very popular and prominent figure, overwhelming majority don't doubt his patriotism but a youngster like Amulya.
Moreover in CAA & NRC Ravi Shankar is with Govt but Amulya is in opposition camp. Minorities should be more careful while praising countries that are hostile to our country for the will be doubted more. They have to prove more for being patriotic.

I saw Amulya's slogan's , she might be wanted to start speech by slogan's hailing for both the countries

I guess her intention to co-sentience peace and understanding between both countries , but unfortunately she never allowed to continue her speech Hailing other counties is good gesture ,

I dono what sedition charges put against her , They can put sedition only if she say Murdabad to India or talk against India which she never said , In US and UK Indians always hail India during match or any other event .Do they arrested ever or called them anti-nationals ?

Let's talk about India's failing economy and rising unemployment. Let's not divert our attention to petty issues and push the major national issues under the carpet. To be frank, I don't think anyone living in India are anti-nationals or pro-Pakistanis that too a 18 years old student. Let the common sense and wisdom prevail.

I was going through this entire video and I felt that that young girl wanted to say something and Pakistan Zindabad was a part of her speech. After that she chanted Hindustan Zindabad also. She never said Hindustan Murdabad.
In my honest opinion, when it comes to Pakistan, it's a mega political thing than actual problem. People who talk non sense on public domain are quick to demand arrest.
One of our fellow Mangalorean well known for openly violating the constitution right to freedom and liberty , openly accuses other religions is a Nationalist and not a traitor.
Another saint,... due all respect to him... who went to Pakistan and chanted Pakistan Zindabad is a Nationalist.
How can we have double standards? I don't know who is this Amulya, but in my opinion at least in police custody she should be asked to clarify her stand why did she chant and was it a part of her speech.
Everyone including Shobakka should understand she never said Hindustan Murdabad.

    Shobhaji who paid for them.
In Delhi elections your party went to such a low level everyone realised what you are now & what you people can do for the sake of power.

Within 24 hour 2 girls are rising slogans when BJP in power in the state how dare they are.
This daring only comes when they receive handsome of amounts for that act & safety.

I would like to ask all that why there is no action on politicians or leaders or ministers or any Govt servants who says "Go to Pakistan", who gave authority to send them or say like that. Is Pakistan is a country where the Govt invites and give aslym, why no body says go to Sri Lanka or Bangladesh ? This Udipi MP did not do any good things and not allowing others to do the same..
