Udupi, Feb 15: “School children should reduce the use of mobile phones and concentrate more of studies,” said Udupi SP N Vishnuvardhan.
He was speaking after participating in Open House Initiative programme held for Manipal’s Madhava Kripa school children.

“Children should concentrate more on studies. Several families are disturbed due to disastrous drugs. Children should exercise caution about them. Inform the nearest police station if you find any illegal or unethical activities in the vicinity of your houses. Teachers also should help children in such work. Follow traffic rules. Driving vehicles is illegal for those below the age of 18 years. Forwarding messages received in social media without verifying their authenticity is also not right,” he said.

A demonstration of the work of police dogs Captain and Icon was also held.

School principal PG Pandith, principal Jessy Andrews, vice-principal Jyothi Santhosh, headmistress Asha Nayak and staff were present. DSP answered the questions by school children.
