Udupi: Nirmala English Medium School Brahmavar hosts Sports Day

Udupi, Jan 22: Parents are the backbone for the institute. Nirmala English Medium School Brahmavar on January 15 organized Sports Day 2020 for them.

Fr Victor Fernandes took the presidentship of the programme. The programme was inaugurated by a prayer song and thereafter water was poured on a plant by the chief guest. The principal, Fr Joslie D’Silva, the former PTA president, Chittur Prabhakar Acharya and vice-president, Philomina D’Silva, present PTA president Veeranna and vice-president Leelavathi witnessed the programme.

In his presidential speech, Fr Victor Fernandes encouraged the parents to participate in the Sports Day celebration and spoke about the development of a mutual understanding between parents through the event.

The PTA committee honoured Kavitha as Sadhaka Shikshaki for the academic year 2019. Umesh Poojary was the commentator for the day. Shantha Pai and Joythi were the judges of the event. After lunch, the winners were awarded with a trophy and certificates, the participation certificates were distributed to all the participants.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Girish, welcoming the gathering was done by Krishna Naik and the programme was anchored by Veeranna the president of the PTA committee.
