Bengaluru: Rahul Gandhi appears certain to return as AICC president

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jan 13: Finding no viable alternative, Congress functionaries are trying to bring back Rahul Gandhi, who had resigned as the president of All India Congress Committee (AICC), owning moral responsibility for the party's lacklustre performance in the elections, to the post he had left.

After Rahul resigned, leaders of various levels had tried their best to convince him to withdraw his resignation. With no other alternative after Rahul remained stubborn on not withdrawing the resignation, Sonia Gandhi was made in-charge president on temporary basis.

Many in the party feel that this is the right time to make Rahul the national president of Congress party. They think that Rahul Gandhi will get nearly five years to undertake tour of nooks and corners the country and build the party from grass root level. Senior leaders have held a few rounds of talks with Sonia Gandhi on this issue, it i learnt. In all probability, AICC may hold the session at Jaipur in March after the Delhi assembly election concludes, where an official announcement about this fact is most likely to be made.

Congress leaders feel that people are angry at some controversial initiatives of the central government, which is evidenced by the fact that people are taking to streets to fight against them. They are of the opinion that Congress needs a strong leader to be able to provide leadership to the frustrated people. This will enable the party to affectively organize popular agitation against the central government, they feel.

Towards this end, all high level leaders of the party have been making all out efforts to see that Rahul is crowned as the national head of the Congress party, sources within the party said.

By all means it is proper time for Rahul Gandhi to venture into Congress Party as President. He has the ability to lead the party in the right perspective as far as the members of the party support him fully without looking at their own self gain but put forward their efforts to save the country first from selfish saffron dictators. We need to move forward for the development of our country and not the self development of leaders who are gaining mass wealth in their present positions. The elected leaders are chosen by the people and hence they should work for the people of this democratic country.

Rahul Gandhi is not Modi. He definitely could not have done to India, what Modi has done. It is now clear from the past 6years, Modi has achieved in India, what pakistan actually long wanted and been trying since past decades.

Modi has taken the economically backwards, shattered every institution that protected democracy and its economy, people are suspicious against each other with the empowerment of moral police who themselves do not have any morality, corruption, black money, counterfeit, terrorism, unemployment, industrial productivity, farm productivity, health care, etc., taken such a beating that it will take decades now to recover. True to prove, no congressmen could have ever done it for India.

Rahul Gandhi, has flaws but no one in India could have done this worse to India, like what Modi-Shah, with the blessing of RSS done. He is needed for congress as a centralizing force. BJP and RSS is fearful of it, so trying and tried their best to discredit the Gandhi family in every way possible.

A strong congress is the lone political alternative for BJP, other parties like AAP etc., has years to grow and in their growth could falter. People have lost an opportunity to bring back congress in 2019, but they are voting against BJP despite the threats and aggression through institutional interference. So, soon we could hope for return of congress in a stronger and better way.

For those, who are still endorsing BJP, need to go and talk to Kashmiri pundits. They overwhelmingly choose Modi's BJP and today they are rejecting it with all their myth.

Rahul Gandhi had strength, guts and was man enough to face Arnab Goswami and his bias opinions and fought like a warrior.
Does Amit shah or Modi have enough strength to face reporters like Ravish kumar or Karan Thapar.
Modi ran away amidst the interview with Thapar last time if you remember it.

Congress works for the people. For the sake of job creation we need Congress back. People need a leader with integrity, one who says what they mean, keeps their word and does not lie to their people. Pick a leader who is strong and confident, yet humble. Intelligent, A leader who encourages diversity, not racism. One who understands the needs of the farmer, the teacher, the doctor, and the environmentalist -- not only the banker, the oil tycoon, the weapons developer, or the insurance and pharmaceutical lobbyist.
