Bantwal: All possible support for Kambala sport – DCM Dr Ashwath Narayana

Bantwal, Dec 8: Karnataka deputy chief minister Dr Ashwath Narayana has assured all the support and financial help for Kambala sport. 

Speaking as the special guest in the concluding programme of the historic Hokkabigoli Veera Vikrama Jodukare Bayalu Kambala, he said that the government is bound to strengthen Kambala, Janapada sport of Tulunadu. “Complete support will be provided if the sport is extended to Bengaluru also. Kambala committee has brought to my notice about the hindrances faced by the sport. All of us young leaders will unite to remove them,” he said. 

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik presided over the programme. BJP Yuva Morcha chief secretary B Y Vijayendr said that he has accepted the invitation to conduct Kambala sport in Shivamogga. The government should think of making Kambala more attractive. Leaders should discuss the matter with the chief minister, he suggested. 

Moodbidri MLA Umanath Kotian, Beltangady MLA Harish Poonja, former minister Nagaraja Shetty, Kuloor Pooyyolu, P Subrahmanya and Yadapadithaya from Mangalore University, Entrepreneur from Bengaluru Ramesh Shetty, BJP leader Jagadish Adhikari, Moodbidri Aramane’s Kuldeep Chowta, state BJP legal cell leader Soorath Kumar Karkala, High court advocate Arun Sham, BJP youth leader Sandesh Shetty Rayi, gram panchayat president Dayananda Safalya and other leaders were present. 

Donors of land for the sport were felicitated. Kambala committee president Rashmith Shetty Kaithrodi and office bearers were present. Vijaya Kumar Kanginamane compered the programme.
