Kannadiga police officer led encounter operation of Telangana rape accused

Daijiworld Media Network - Hyderabad (SP)

Hyderabad, Dec 6: The man behind the encounter operation of all the four persons accused of raping a young veterinarian in Telangana happens to be Cyberabad police commissioner, Vishwanath Sajjanar. Sajjanar belongs to Gadag.

Vishwanath, whose daredevilry is well-known, had also claimed the life of an auto rickshaw driver in the past. The driver in question had attacked a married woman at Warangal, Telangana, with acid.

Appreciation is pouring in for this illustrious police officer for having eliminated all the accused in the rape case that had received worldwide attention because of the brutality and the unfortunate circumstances under which it had happened.

After the shocking crime on November 27, a section of people have been demanding Sajjanar to deliver justice as he had done in the past while serving as the Superintendent of Warangal district in undivided Andhra Pradesh.

After the incident, Cyberabad Police had come under flak for its handling of a missing complaint lodged by the victim's family, about two hours after the she spoke to her sister over phone stating that she was stranded near the Outer Ring Road and was frightened. The victim's family alleged that the police wasted a lot of time over jurisdiction issue and responded four hours later.

Three policemen were later suspended by Sajjanar. The Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of 1996 batch was supervising the investigations into the horrific crime. He had constituted various teams to probe the case.

Sajjanar, an official of the rank of Inspector General of Police, took over as the Commissioner of Cyberabad in March 2018.

One of the three commissionerates in Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad covers the Information Technology hubs of Hitec City, Gachibowli and other key clusters on the outskirts of the city.

Sajjanar, who earlier held key positions in undivided Andhra Pradesh and subsequently in Telangana, was also believed to be instrumental in killing of Maoists in encounter.

Even if the cops had conclusive evidence that the 4 were the real culprits, they have no authority to award summary justice - tomorrow, anyone can be framed and shot in an 'encounter'. very clearly, the 4 were killed in a fake encounter and the cops have no reason to feel good about doing their job in this manner. There is a legal process to follow - this is not Bollywood for us to cheer the cops. Both the original crime and the encounter deaths are barbaric and have no place in civil society.

Irrespective of political party, don't we have girls and women voting for rapists because of party affiliation? If women and girls get united they can bring the government on its knees. Our politics is the reason why women are unsafe and treated like dumb cattle. If women send a clear signal that they won't vote for anyone who is accused of rape then things will begin to fall in line at least with the politicians.

We need people like him in each and every major police stations. Then only we can expect a decline in rapes throughout the country. He has shown the northern part of the country how to deal with rapists. Instant justice to the victim and his family..No feeding Biryani to the accused . No waste of taxpayers money. .

Yes i agree with you , But the present Govt. doesn't want this .
Example Annamali he was strict officer what happened ?
Another IPS officer form Karnataka who was doing his duty efficiently they killed him & said he died of dengue .
Another IAS offcier who suicides .
Telangana is not ruled by BJP ..
But still this Encounter my feeling is its a bit fishy ..I feel the original culprits are roaming freely

How can he claim the higher moral ground? This is pure taking the law into ones hands and perhaps even covering for someone else. This man who is supposed to uphold the law is in fact a criminal much like the people he eliminated

That is why affected people are not made judges in the case. Lady Justice is shown with a blindfold. Emotion has very low value in law.

I would also feel like doing revenge if my loved ones are harmed. But that kind of retaliation went out in the middle ages and thankfully we have legal systems as flawed as they may be.

The arguments here seem to suggest that If I THINK you scratched my bike, I can scratch your bike even if u didn't do it.

Any accused has an inalienable right to be proven guilty.

Do you have children sir? how you love them and pamper them with care! Is that so easy to brought up children with lots of care?? For one minute sit and think the pain which her parents going through with. Every crime may be coming front of their eyes and heart breaking, and this pain will continue till their death. Have you seen picture of her parents how innocent they are??
These criminals may thought because of their life style they will survive! I hope and pray such encounter should happen immediately everywhere. India is a democratic country and no one can control system or anything, but atleast such fear should come in each criminals heart and mind before they think about it. We should not sit believing law or justice. Without taking action in hand atleast everyone should oppose strongly.
