Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, UAE's new low-cost airline to take off in 2020

Dubai, Nov 19: Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, UAE’s new low-cost airline, is most likely to start operations in first half of 2020. 

Tony Douglas, CEO of Etihad Aviation Group, spoke to media at Dubai Airshow on Monday and said that customers will benefit with connectivity from Abu Dhabi, after Air Arabia Abu Dhabi becomes operational. Refusing to divulge any details, he said announcements with regard to the new airline are in the pipeline. 

In October, Sharjah-based low-cost carrier Air Arabia and Etihad Aviation Group announced the launch of Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. The new flight operator will increase competition in the aviation sector. Meanwhile, UAE residents will benefit with economical flying options. 

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will be the fifth airline to operate from the UAE. The airline will complement Etihad Airways and will target the low-cost travel market.

    Big blunder by Air Arabia. Etihad is already a loss making airline and trying for it's survival. Jet airways is the best example who went bankrupt after joining with Etihad. Fly Dubai is already dominating as a low cost carrier. This deal may benefit few sectors for a short run but will go into loss for the long run

    Good Luck Air Arabia in it's maiden venture. Please propose a few sectors from and to Mangalore and various gulf countries and within Indian sectors as well.
