Mangaluru: Nalin promises to transform popular support into people-centric administration

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Nov 17: MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, expressed gratefulness to the voters of the city for extending overwhelming support to the BJP in the city corporation election and catapulting it to power here. "The people have blessed us. This has given us added responsibility. We promise that this support and blessings would be transformed into people-friendly administration," he stated.

He was speaking after inaugurating the victory celebrations of the party's people's representatives elected in the civic poll and to congratulate the elected corporators, on Saturday November 16.

Nalin said the people of the city have given a fitting reply to bad politics of the Congress. He said that the Congress, by working against veteran leader, Janardhana Poojary, worked to the advantage of his party.

He said that his party's corporators will work in a way that the people who reposed faith on the party do not become disappointed. He termed the meeting as more as a congregation to take pledge to sincerely work for the development of the city rather than congratulatory function.

"The wind of transformation is blowing through the state. In the coming assembly by-poll, we will win all the 15 seats. The government headed by B S Yediyurappa will gain strength further," he asserted. He termed Yediyurappa-Nalin Kumar team at the state level and Vedavyas Kamath - Dr Bharath Shetty team in the city as the pair of hard working bullocks for the party.

In his introductory address, MLA, Vedavyas Kamath, thanked the voters and party workers for the unprecedented success of his party in the history of the city corporation here.

MLA and district BJP president, Sanjeeva Matandoor, presided. MLAs, Rajesh Naik, Umanath Kotian, former ministers, B Nagaraj Shetty and Krishna Palemar, former MLAs, N Yogeesh Bhat and Padmanabha Kottary, former MLCs, Monappa Bhandary and Balakrishna Bhat, zilla panchauyat president,Meenakshi Shanthigodu, vice president, Kasturi Panja, BJP in-charge secretaries, Uday Kumar Shetty, Gopalakrishna Herale and others were present.

The next election out of 15 its very tough for BJP to get 5 seats. And once the results are out then it is hard for BJP unless they start horse trading.

No GST or any other type of taxes for Promises thrown by politicians specifically people from ruling party. As for Nalin's promises don't worry guys he didn't mention the time frame just like Pumpwell Flyover, No wonder if it takes another 10-15 years to complete. Secondly What about Uncompleted Four track Airport Road From City to Terminal....? When it will be completed.........? Neighboring Kannur Airport even before starting of functioning they provide Railway link, Well Developed Road network means they handle it professionally. We are still doesn't have an all season (concrete) connecting Road to Terminal even after ten+ years of Becoming International Airport.............. Shame on face of our political leaders who hails from city
