Tickets of Konkani movie 'Nirmillem Nirmonem' released in Doha

Doha, Nov 11: The superhit Konkani movie 'Nirmillem Nirmonem' will be released in Doha Qatar at the Asian Town Cinema Hall#4 on November 29 at 4.30 pm. This movie, released on August 23 in the city of Mangaluru under the banner of Preston Enterprises is playing to packed houses in every show.

The movie ticket release event was held in Doha Qatar at Indian Cultural center (ICC) Bengaluru Hall on November 9. This was attended by the managing committee members of Mangalorean Konkani Associations based in Qatar such as Mangalore Cultural Association (MCA), Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC) and Konkani Speaking Community (KSC).













The program started evoking God’s blessing through prayer led by Merlyn Dsouza. Amit Mathias, the MC for the evening, welcomed the gathering, briefed on the forthcoming premier show movie ‘Nirmellem Nirmonnem’ and the excitement in which Konkani speaking people have been eagerly waiting for its release in Qatar. He requested all Konkani speaking people to attend this premiere show and make the theatre houseful. He then invited on the dais President of MCA Veena Rebimbus Pais, MCC president Sunil D’Silva and the main coordinator of the entire event Aloysius D’Souza.

Aloysius in his opening address mentioned the hurdles faced in screening Konkani movies in Qatar but the love for Konkani films and dramas within him kept the spirit high and this is the 6th Konkani movie being screened in Qatar through the support of Konkani Movie lovers. He thanked for the wholehearted support received from Konkani Organizations MCA, MCC and KSC & Konkani community spiritual Director Fr, Anand Castelino. Later in their speech Veena shared her thoughts and the experiences being part of this successful movie and also Sunil added in his speech to continue supporting Konkani language and Konkani programs in Qatar. Merlyn shared her experience in acting in this movie and mentioned that even though it was a small role but now feel privileged to be part of this big screen.
The movie tickets were then released by MCA and MCC presidents and vice presidents and other team members in attendance.

Konkani film ‘Nirmillem Nirmonem’ under Preston Enterprises banner, directed by Melwyn Elpel and produced by Henry D’Silva, is receiving good response from viewers.

Actors Pratap Menezes, Seema Buthello, Vinny, Rony Surathkal, Meenakshi, Hambert Goa and other well-known names are in the cast. Santhosh, Milan Markanja, Jerald and Rayan are the assistant directors of the film. Norbert John has written the screenplay and co-director the film. Aloysius and Merlyn from Qatar have appeared for the first time in this movie in a guest appearance role The film is based on unique story on the obstacles and anxieties faced by the person looking for love.

Manjunath has handled cinematography. Tune and lyrics by late Wilfy Rebimbus and R Pappan-Joswin have composed music.

The event was concluded with Vote of thanks by Aloysius and followed by homemade snacks prepared by the group members of Canara Konkans, Qatar a Volunteer social service group, who were in full attendance supporting this event.
