Sullia, Oct 17: Charan Gundia (22), son of Sugandha Belchappada from Gundia in Aletty village committed suicide on the night of Tuesday, October 15. He is survived by father, mother, and sisters.

Charan worked as a coolie. As was his routine, he went to Sulllia for work and returned home at night on Tuesday. After dinner, he was seen sitting in a corner of the patio attached to his house and conversing with someone over cellphone. After the other family members went to bed, he seems to have gone near the well in front of the house and hanged himself from the beam erected across the well for drawing water.

No immediate reason for this sudden development could be ascertained. Sullia police have registered a case and begun investigation.
