Mangaluru: Two held when trying to sell banned MDMA drug

Mangaluru, Sep 21: In a joint operation launched by the district crime intelligence bureau and Suratkal police, two persons who were trying to sell banned drug MDMA, near a guest house in Light House area at Suratkal were arrested. The duo was sitting in a while car by the side of public road near Suratkal beach when they were apprehended.

The arrested men have been identified as Muhammed Mujamil (40) from Krishnapur sixth block near Suratkal, and Muhammed Sharif Siddique (40) from Chokkabettu, Suratkal. Eleven grams of MDMA drug worth about Rs 30,000 was seized from their possession. A car worth about four lac rupees, four mobile phones and Rs 10,950 in cash were also confiscated. During the questioning, the accused reportedly told the police that they had bought the drug from Mumbai.
