Udupi: Free books distributed, meals consumed with orphanage children

Udupi, Sep 11: Yuvavahini Kaup unit distributed free books and had meals with orphanage children at Shankerpura Vishwasada Mane on September 10 as part of 165th birth anniversary of Brahmashree Narayanaguru. Former minister Vinaykumar Sorakae inaugurated the programme.

He said that the teaching of Brahmashree Narayanaguru that there is only one religion, one vote and one God is being implemented in Vishwasada Mane, Shankerpura. “The programme by Kaup Yuvavahini to support it is commendable. Narayanaguru is not restricted to Billavas alone. Their campaign on social concern has enabled all the backward groups of Hindus to walk raising their heads,” he said.

Head of Vishwasada Mane Pasteur Sunil D’ Souza said that mentally sick patients are being identified, provided service, treatment and are being rehabilitated in Vishwasada Mane. “More than 850 people who are cured here have reached their homes. We are thereby trying to receive God’s blessings,” he said.

Chief guest Padubidri Billavas Association president Sujeer Kumar said that Kaup Yuvavahini unit is conducive to the principles and message of Narayanaguru through these programme that are held since the last three years. “We are receiving the blessings of the almighty because of that,” he said.

Kaup Billavara Association vice president Sadananda Anchan, Udupi district Billavara Parishad women’s unit convener Asha Katpadi, Yuvavahini center committee director Ramesh Kotian, JCI zonal director Saumya Rakesh, Kaup Billavara Sangha women’s unit convener Asha Shanker, Kaup councilor Ashwini, S N G Sports club president Prashanth Kumar Ermal, Yuvavahini vice president Shashidar Suvarna, Surya Narayan and others were present.

Yuvavahini Kaup unit president Deepak Kumar Ermal gave an introduction. Assigned president Nagesh Suvarna welcomed. Secretary Yogish Kotian rendered the vote of thanks.
