Dubai, Aug 20: Looks like Indians have special luck when it comes to winning jackpots in the UAE. Another city based NRI will take home USD 1 million after winning the Dubai Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Millennium Millionaire held on Tuesday.

Beejal O, a 34-year-old Dubai-based Indian national, picked ticket number 4111, which was her apartment number in Dubai. When asked about her plans with the winning, she said the first thought that came into her mind was charity.

As reported in Khaleej Times, Beejal said, "I am truly speechless and beyond gratefulness. I do not know how to thank Dubai Duty Free for this big surprise." Beejal has been residing in Dubai for the last seven years and is a regular participant in the DDF promotion.

Beejal bought the ticket when she travelled to India on July 25. She is now the 148th Indian national to win in the DDF since its inception in 1999.

Last month’s DDF and Abu Dhabi millionaire lottery of AED 15 million was also won by Indians.
