Mangaluru: Mudarangadi GP gets 3 concrete roads under CSR of Adani Foundation

Mangaluru, Aug 13: Adani Foundation, which is executing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of Yellur village based Udupi Power Corporation Limited power plant, unveiled 3 newly concreted roads in the villages of Mudarangadi gram panchayat.

Santhuru-Kopla road, Santhuru-AaluBrahmasthaana road and Vidyanagar road were concreted at a cost of Rs 35 lac by Adani Foundation under the Community Infrastructure Development programme of its CSR and was inaugurated by Kishore Alva, president & executive director of Adani UPCL and David D’Souza, president of Mudarangadi gram panchayat.



Speaking on the occasion, Alva informed that including Mudarangadi gram panchayat, Adani UPCL is committed to take-up community infrastructure development works worth Rs 22.73 crore in 7 gram panchayat in Udupi district over a period of 3 years. Against the committed development works worth Rs 4.65 crore in Mudarangadi GP, Adani UPCL has completed works Rs 3.26 crore and the balance of works would be taken-up at the earliest, Alva added.

While thanking Adani UPCL for its CSR works, David D’Souza expressed happiness that the company is delivering the benefits of CSR activities to the villagers.

Jayanti Poojarthy, vice president of Mudarangadi GP, Jayanth, panchayat development officer, Gabriel Mathais, member, Adani UPCL’s AGM Girish Navada, and senior manager Ravi R Jere were present on the occasion.
