Mumbai, Jul 19: A quick thinking on the part of an auto driver foiled a robbery. In the early hours of Wednesday, Ganesh Pandey successfully managed to thwart a robbery at a Vasai store.
The incident took place while Pandey was on his way back home when he saw three men trying to break-in. Rather than fleeing the scene, Pandey began attracting the crowd of auto drivers who were around the neighbourhood.
The thieves noticed this alarm and decided to flee the scene. The auto drivers chased the thieves and were successful in nabbing one of them. The accused caught has been identified as Ganga Kadesa, who was handed over to the Manickpur police by Pandey. On further inquiry, Kadesa was found to be a repeat offender.
