Train derails in Maharashtra, no casualty


Mumbai, Jul 18 (IANS): A major accident was averted on Thursday after a coach of the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus-Gorakhpur Jansadharan Express derailed in Maharashtra's Igatpuri.

The second coach of the Mumbai-bound train's rear section derailed on the Igatpuri bridge in Maharashtra at 3.50 a.m. No one was injured, senior Railway Ministry officials said.

The derailment affected the traffic on the down line. The mid line and up line were safe for trains passage, said officials.

All passengers of the train were shifted to a special train, the official said.
