Mumbai: Young CA ends life by jumping off Bandra-Worli Sea link

Mumbai, Jul 13: A 25 year old chartered accountant committed suicide by jumping into the sea from Bandra Worli Sea link on Friday.

It is reported that Parth Soman took a taxi from south Mumbai to go to western suburbs and asked the taxi driver to stop the car on Bandra-Worli Sea link. He reportedly came out of the taxi and jumped into the sea. Police officials said Parth worked at a CA's firm and the incident took place at 2 pm on Friday.

As reported in TOI, coastguard helicopter arrived at the scene of the incident around 4.30 pm and a naval helicopter was also engaged in the operation to trace Parth.

Godfrey Pimenta, an activist, told TOI that he was passing from the sea link after the incident and he saw police vans, fire brigade vehicles and divers trying to search for the man.
