The accused is slapped with the case of entering the airport illegally. Kevin had entered the departure lounge of the airport by showing his passport and cancelled E-ticket at 5.25 pm for the Air India Express IX-813 flight that was scheduled to leave at 8.05 pm.

Well... I'm little confused rite now.. Y because, even before anyone enter the airport, there will be a security personnel at the main entrance who checks the passport and the ticket... If the security person has checked the ticket and the passport how did he get in at the first place...who's mistake is this..? Kevin or the one who checked his ticket at the entrance..? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Once my flight was delayed for a day, I came to know when I entered the check-in counter, they booked me a day later flight and offloaded from airport by Jet airways staff, the staff should explain to CISF personnel the reason for the offload, and CISF person will enter our details and reason. It's not easy to exit the airport without authorized person or without valid reason, CISF deployed all the areas.

There is a saying in Konkani, "Maas kainathullo Moos kavn brost zalo." Be honest and buy the ticket. When we were kids, we used to do that trick to see Konkani drama at the Don Bosco Hall. Now we are not only afford to pay for the tickets, but also can afford to give cash purses with honors to Konkani artists So, do not continue the habit.

Its not a big crime, but people exit countries with fake passports/documents, none catches them, this poor fellow went to drop his wife, however its not that crime he is to be arrested and put behind bars.
Impose some penalty and release him and close the case.
If he has other intention other than to drop his wife then do the necessary action.

Yes, initially I too thought that its not so serious what is the reason to arrest him. But, its similar incidents that give way for suspicions matters being placed in public places. Finally it comes onto the security for being irresponsible.

I'm sure he will be released without much hassles. But its a lesson to him and all, never take freedom for granted. Respect security system and adhere to them for our own safety.

    Vinod,

Look from outside both the gates - how far are they from each other ? Not even half a Km. Inside too is like that. Its a long hall, with no partition. Only that we concentrate on only one route - Departure if we are leaving, Arrival if we are coming back. Moreover, we are not permitted to go anywhere else that our path - security personnel politely guide us to where we are supposed to go.

This man is smart. He should have entered by buying a visitor's pass so that he comes back from the same door. He entered using his ticket and to exit he walked a little more towards his right and came out from the other door thinking he hoodwinked the security and saved a few Rupees.

His ticket did not show the cancellation - its the same as his wife's ticket. While she traveled out, he had to come out. What is smart of him is, that he crossed to 'Arrival' end of the airport and came out of that gate. He was sure of getting caught if he came out of the 'Departure' gate.

Even at 'Exit' gate of the arrival section, security personnel do watch each individual coming out but we don't give much attention to it because we are in a hurry to meet our waiting relatives. The timing of Kevin's exiting may not have coincided with an aircraft arriving hence they questioned him.

Agreed, At the entrance they only check the passengers name to his Passport. They do not have visibility and are not responsible for ticket status, thats the security and check in counter responsibility.
But its a serious offense on part of the individual especially in current times. He will have a tough time to prove himself unless some sachiva comes and plays the minority card.
