Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 27: On Wednesday June 26, an election petition was filed in the high court against Prajwal Revanna, son of minister H D Revanna, seeking to annul the latter's election to the Lok Sabha. It was filed by defeated BJP candidate from Hassan constituency, A Manju.

Manju has alleged in his petition that Prajwal had filed false affidavit during the Lok Sabha election. He wants the high court to cancel the Lok Sabha membership of Prajwal. The petition may come before one of the benches of the high court in a couple of weeks.

Manju has stated in his petition that the assets declared by Prajwal far exceed his known sources of income. He also alleged that several details provided in Prajwal's affidavit are wrong. He pointed out that Prajwal, who has claimed that he does not have any income, has said that he has lent money to others. He also has got government property registered in his name. He also has concealed information about several other assets he possesses," Manju has claimed.
