Brahmavar, Jun 20: Manjunath Gurikar (26) from Basavapura in Koppal district died of suffocation on the evening of Tuesday when he had gone down a well. The incident happened at Ranganakere near here.
Manjunath had climbed down the steps of the well to retrieve a pitcher that had fallen into the well. The well belongs to Abdul Khader alias Baba Saheb from Ranganakere.
In a complaint filed in the police station here, Shivanand, brother of the deceased, charged Abdul Khader, owner of the well, and Rama Naik, who had brought Manjunath to to work there, of negligence.
A case in this regard was registered in Brahamavar police station.
