Karnataka Social Club Bahrain hosts grand Eid food festival

Bahrain, Jun 11: Karnataka Social Club-Bahrain held an Eid food festival at its Manama premises on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Members from different regions from Mangaluru prepared home cooked delicacies very popular from the Konkan Belt.

The highlight of the event was a cookery contest open to all titled Masterchef KSC. The categories included starters, main course and desserts. The judges had more than 20 to 25 dishes to choose from.

A short stage programme during the lunch break included songs from well-known singers who had taken part in Gulf Voice of Mangalore like Sydney Correa, Freeda Sequeira D’Souza and Anu D’Souza. Members also took part in various games like guessing the watermelon weight, spot the differences and ringing the objects.



The event ended with a vote of thanks from president Sunil D’Souza.

    Good job, Karnataka Social Club. Worthwhile effort in Bahrain during the festive season. Bahrain deserves the best for all their generous contribution towards hundreds of thousands of expats who are happily dedicating their time and talents far away from their homeland.

    Gestures such as these are observed by the host government with a keen eye. In turn, they will give back ten fold for all that we offer to the host community.

    Keep up the good work. We are proud of you while we recollect our own "good old" days of dedication in Bahrain under the leadership of late Shaikh Sulman Al Khalifa.
