Thank you readers: Your generosity has brought hope in Anson and 'Snake' Anil's lives

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Jun 10: Daijiworld readers have always demonstrated their benevolence by helping the needy wholeheartedly. Whenever we highlighted the difficulties faced by people who needed financial help to overcome their troubles, the readers with their contributions have saved lives.

Similarly in the case of Anson D’Souza, a Kuloor resident suffering from blood cancer, Daijiworld readers helped save his life by quickly pooling in Rs 7 lac which was essential for his treatment.

On May 16, 2019, Anson’s story was published on Daijiworld. Anson, son of Aurel D’Souza, was undergoing chemotherapy as well as platelet transfusion at Father Muller Hospital in Kankanady. The total cost of therapy was estimated to be more than Rs 6 lac.

Aurel D'Souza has expressed his gratitude to Daijiworld readers. ”We do not know how to thank Daijiworld readers. Like angels from heaven, they saved my son from death. Their generosity brought a ray of hope in our family. When we informed our son about the contribution and further treatment, he was overjoyed that he will get well and asked us when he can join school and meet his friends. On behalf him, I express my gratitude to Daijiworld readers, Daijiworld management and Fr Vincent D’Souza, parish priest of Kulur Church.”

Snake catcher Anil Prabhu gets Rs1.8 lac for life saving treatment

Also on May 14, 2019, Daijiworld published an article with appeal on well-known snake-catcher Anil Prabhu, who was struggling to get back to his health after he was bitten by a snake. The same was telecast on Daijiworld 24x7 TV.

The readers showed their generosity in this case also and contributed Rs 1.8 lac for Anil's medical treatment.

Anil was bitten when he was trying to rescue a Spectacled Cobra that was trapped in a net at Tellaru, near Kuntalpady on April 14. By the time Anil arrived at the spot, the reptile had struggled its way out from the plastic net. When he tried to pull the net, the snake bit his forehand. But without stopping his mission, Anil succeeded in rescuing the snake and later got himself admitted to Karkala Nursing Home. The local doctors directed Anil to get treatment at Yenepoya Hospital.

Daijiworld thanks its esteemed readers for responding positively for the cause. The generosity has brought back smiles and filled the needy with hope.

We hope our readers will continue to respond positively in our efforts to assuage the problems of the less privileged or those who are in dire need. Let us work in unison towards a common goal.
