Karwar: Defeated former minister blames lack of commitment from Deshpande

Daijiworld Media Network - Karwar (SP)

Karwar, May 27: Former minister, Anand Asnotikar, expressed the feeling that the coalition candidate would have registered a victory in Uttara Kannada Lok Sabha constituency if minister, R V Deshpande, had shown total commitment when campaigning for him in the district.

"If the JD(S) had independently fought the election without entering into understanding with the Congress, we would have won easily. If Deshpande had undertaken electioneering in the district with total conviction and commitment, I would have registered victory here. At the state level too, if the JD(S) had fielded its candidates independently without entering into alliance, former Prime Minister, Deve Gowda, and Nikhil would have won from Tumakuru and Mandya constituencies respectively," he analyzed.
