Mangaluru, May 22: “The three moola mantras for success are hard work, hard work and hard work alone and there are no short cuts to attain it,” said Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions while delivering the inaugural address at the orientation programme held for the newly inducted students and their parents at Expert PU College, Kodialbail. She advised the students to aim for academic accomplishment by having a clear objective in mind and working continuously towards its realisation. She later administered the oath to the students and thereby welcomed them to the Expert family.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions expressed that it takes two hands to clap; in the same manner, the educational institution and the parents need to put their efforts together to bring excellence in the lives of the students. He emphasized on the importance of time management and urged the students to utilise it wisely. He assured the parents that their children would get the best of education and explained the rationale behind the academic rigour followed at Expert.



Prof Ramachandra Bhat, principal-Expert PU College, Kodialbail, Mangaluru familiarised the gathering on the functioning of the college. He also notified them about the decorum that needs to be cultivated and followed at Expert and asserted that discipline and regularity needs to be upheld in order to achieve success in any field.

Shyam Prasad S, AICE coordinator briefed the students about All India Competitive Examinations and its efficient preparation. Subramanya Udupa, head of Timetable Committee stressed on the importance of proper planning for the students’ future. An audio visual presentation on the NASA tour, which is a unique experience to the students was displayed during the programme.

Two different sessions were held for the day scholars and hostel residents in the forenoon and afternoon respectively. Deepika A Nayak, Karunakar Balkur, coaching coordinator and Yogaratna Gopalkrishna Delampady were also present on the occasion.

The Student Welfare Officer for boys, Prasanna Kumara R, lecturer in Physics, welcomed the gathering and Wilma Theresa Mascarenhas, lecturer in English, Student Welfare Officer for girls rendered the vote of thanks. Niha Faheem, lecturer in Chemistry hosted the programme.
