Mangaluru: Catholic Sabha City Varado holds bi-decimal celebration

Mangaluru, Feb 18: Catholic Sabha City Varado celebrated bi-decimal celebration on Sunday, February 17 at Shakti Nagar Church Hall.

The programme was inaugurated by Fr Austin Peris, spiritual director of Catholic Sabha City Varado by pouring water to saplings.

Homage was paid publically to the 42 martyred soldiers of Pulvama by lighting the candle and with prayers.



Prakash Pinto Bondel, Walter Saldanha Neermarga, Empriem D’Souza Angelore, Ivy D’Silva Derebail, Agnes D’souza Kelarai, David Crasta Shaktinagara, Robert D’souza Bajal, and Joachim D’souza Vamanjoor were honoured for their selfless service to the community.

Lancy D’cunha was also honoured for being elected for second term to All India Catholic Union.

At the end of the programme, cultural entertainment programme were organise by different parishes.

Victor Corea, city president, Rolphy D’costa, central president, Lancy D’cunha AICU president, Fr Austin Peris, Fr Jerald D’souza and several catholic leaders were present. Johnson D’souza, convener, rendered the vote of thanks. Molly Saldanha and Roshan Kamath compered the programme.
