Mangaluru: Man found selling ganja near Bendorewell arrested

Mangaluru, Jan 11: A person who was reportedly trying to sell ganja near Bendorewell Junction in the city on Thursday January 10 stands arrested. He has been identified as Muhammed Manish (20), resident of Valencia.

Police personnel of economic offences and narcotic drugs (E&N) station here arrested Manish and recovered 280 gram ganja from his possession.

Sub-inspector of E&N station, Shyam Sundar, was on patrol on Thursday morning when he received information at around 10 am that a person, who had concealed ganja inside a clothes bag near a bank branch was selling this banned drug there. The sub-inspector and his staff immediately jumped into action and arrested the man.

The police stated that 280 gram ganja worth Rs 10,800 and cellphone worth Rs 15,000 were recovered from the accused. They added that medical tests confirmed that the accused had also consumed ganja.
