Moodbidri: Pandit Chourasiya Chosen for ‘Alva's Virasat-09’ Award

Moodbidri, Dec 23: Pandit Hariprasad Chourasiya will be honoured with the ‘Alva's Virasat-09’ award at Shobhabhavan of Mijar on Sunday January 7.

The award will be given to Pandit Chourasiya, an acclaimed flautist of the country, at the inaugural function of the cultural event.

He will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 50, 000, a certificate, and a memento in the presence of music lovers of the state, said Dr M Mohan Alva, president, Alva's Education Foundation, in a press release.
