Bengaluru: Industrialist of Mangaluru origin gets threat call in the name of don Kali Yogesh

Bengaluru, Sep 18: A complaint is registered in the Jayanagar police station of the city, in which, it is alleged that a threat call for a ransom of Rs one crore was received by a city entrepreneur of Mangaluru origin in the name of underworld don Kali Yogesh.

Umesh Hegde (49), a resident of Jayanagar is the one who has registered this complaint. Jayanagar police have registered an FIR in the name of Kali Yogesh and are conducting further investigation.

In the complaint, Umesh has alleged that "I received a call from a stranger on my mobile on August 19 at 10.30 am. When I received the call, the caller said, "I am Kali Yogesh. Underworld don. Do you know my name? Do you know how many places I have conducted attacks? You are doing business in the city of Mangaluru. But you have not paid hafta. Right now, you have to send Rs one crore to the spot where I mention."

The complainant has also mentioned that he is receiving threatening messages on his mobile also.
