Beltangady: Dinesh Mattu criticises Kanyadi seer at Guru Jayanthi

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (MS)

Beltangady, Sep 17: Dinesh Amin Mattu raised public objection to Kanyadi Swamiji's speech saying that there was no thought and portrait of Brahmashree Narayana Guru in the Dharma Sansad that took place at Kanyadi Kshetra, which came into existence due to his ideals.

Dinesh questioned Kanyadi Swamiji's speech in the Guru Jayanthi programme organized by Sri Gurunarayana Seva Sangha, Beltangady on Sunday, September 16.

Earlier, Kanyadi Swamiji had given his blessings speech at the beginning of the programme and left the venue.

In his address, Dinesh Mattu said, "I had a doubt when I listened to the blessing speech of Kanyadi Swamiji as to whether this is Guru Jayanti or Shankaracharya Jayanti. The backward class had come forward only due to the Dharma taught by Brahmashree Narayana Guru and not due to Sanathana Dharma."

"I am not against any religion. But I will not bow to the Dharma that is propagated by people like Mohan Bhagwat, Dr Prabhakar Bhat and Kanyadi Swamiji. Instead, I follow Dharma taught by Narayana Guru. Guru did not fight for the entry into temples for people of lower strata in the society but he brought the temples near the lower community people," he added.

Continuing his speech, Dinesh ridiculed RSS and said, "Sangh Parivar, which says that Hindus are one defeat Vasant Bangera, who is a Hindu, in the elections. These people who support Nalin Kumar Kateel instead of Janardhan Poojary, have to tell by which benchmark Nalin Kumar is greater than Poojary. Leaders will get born just because of holding Dharma Sansad."

"Billavas are traditionally doctors, soldiers and pandits. However, they are labelled as toddy tappers," accused Dinesh. He lauded the felicitation of soldiers during the Guru Jayanti and said it was really meaningful.

Both Sri Narayana Guru and Adi Shankara propounded the Vedantic philosophy of Advaita.

It is clearly mentioned in the Upanishads ( VajraSuchi Upanishad verse. 2 ) that Character and virtues of a man determines his Caste/Class and not his birth.

Unfortunately, people who had the authority since older days lacked necessary intellect to understand this and implement in the society-in this case Mr. Dinesh.
People shouldn't stand in front of the mic and talk about Narayana Guru and Adi Shankara without completely completely understanding the unparalleled works of great saints.

Agreed.. Most of the time such thinking only used for defense and misused by leaders for their advantage.

Very thoughtful speech, lot to digest and understand, from a person who will never use the religion for political gain.

Our society has to accept independence of religion from political myths.

    Cheers Dinesh..

    Mr.Mattu,

we want equality, can you support to bring the common law which treat all the citizens of this country equally without considering his caste/religion. will you support that? instead of dividing the society on caste/religion base try to unite the people. you were kept quiet when last govt introducing caste based schemes for school childrens & many other schemes. why? poor people are there in every caste/religion. why you people stick on caste/religion.

Very good question. We are failing miserably because of Caste/religion etc, by which we elect our representatives and then beat around bush! Indeed, caste, religion columns must be removed from all applications and treat all on economical means.

Mattu is right. Today's generation does not know about their roots. Hindutva has been using youth from the lower castes for their vicious plans, specially the Billavas and Mogaveeras. In the last one and half decade of Hindutva rise in the Coastal districts, almost all those who have been killed or those who have been arrested for killing others are youth from lower castes.

Read the names of youth who go to jail or are killed in these communal clashes. While Anchan, Salian, Shetty, Poojary, Kunder, Kulal, Kotian, Shriyan, Kanchan, Bangera, Amin get killed or go to jail for the cause of Hindutva, Bhat, Shenoy, Kamath, Adiga, Purohit, Kini, Pai, Rao, Baliga, Prabhu etc go to US, Canada, Australia, Bengaluru and live their lives.

Show me one Brahmin or GSB person who has been killed/died for Hindutva cause or has even gone to jail. They just limit themselves to giving firebrand speeches which instigate these hot-blooded young Billava, Mogaveera youths. You will not find children or family members of Kalladka Bhat, Yogish Bhat, Anant Kumar Hegde, Vishweshawar Kageri, Jagadish Adhikari etc in any of these Hindutva Dala or Sene. It’s only the lower caste youth who are there and are used like foot-soldiers.

It's a sad story of Hindutva in the coast. Somehow our youth are not understanding how they are used by these upper caste Hindus. They want lower castes for violence and clashes while they keep on promoting higher castes for political positions.

In the last Assembly election, BJP did not field even a single Billava except Sunil Kumar even though Billavas are the largest community in Coastal districts by number. Similar is the status of Mogaveeras.

Kanyadi Seer has conveniently forgotten that whatever our Billava Samaja is today, it's because of Narayana Guru and his efforts to change the society. If not Billavas would still not be getting entry into temples dominated by these Brahmins, GSBs etc.

If someone has talent and economically sound then they can raise in politics..only thing is give good bhashan...

There are less educated among Brahmins and GSBs who are lacking behind and very much successful educated among billavas and other communities. So bottomline is that nobody stopped our people from getting educated, but our culture only to change.

Brother, it is education which lifts someone up and not his affiliation. So take examples of Dr.Devi Shetty who is also one from those you named belonging to the category going to jail. There are a lot of billava and fishermen community as leading doctors in Mangalore and Mumbai. There are very successful businessmen from all these communities who are educated.
So please do not drag the matter in to some other dimension but follow what successful people have followed irrespective of their caste...

Why bring the name of Caste here.... When you were given a good brain to thing in better way by God.... use it in right way.... Congress is responsible for branding people as poor/middle class and rich.... they only organised the meetings/programs in their rule to provide BHADAVARA UDHARA .... till today such slogan is used.... Use brain, study well... Get better marks..... Get a descent Job... then fly to US/Canada or Gulf..... Nobody restrict you to achieve success in life.... Hindutva and Caste is of no use in getting education. Only to get Vote they continuously degraded some caste and made slaves to vote them in every election.... Dont bring caste here.... There are Doctors/Engineers/Bankers/Industrialists in all caste you sited.... So pl have confidence in you - then only you will progress.... You could achieve this not being a Hindu/Christian/Muslim/Backward/Forward class..... Just by Education ..... Only Education and Good virtues...

If you have little time kindly visit Sanghaniketan main hall and have a glance over all great personalities and their portraits.... Ask Mr B J Poojary and he too a admirer of RSS since his college days...... Dont preach your fake thoughts which result in communal hatred....
