Mangaluru: Cloudy atmosphere - rains likely for two more days

Mangaluru, Aug 11: Rains are likely to continue in city and surrounding areas for two more days, says the report from Meteorological department.

After heavy rains on Friday the whole day, now the rains have subsided. But the atmosphere is still cloudy.

All the waterlogged areas in city have been cleared. Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) which was woken up after the heavy rains tried its best to clear the places where light landslides had taken place, with the help of earthmovers.

Two houses in city were damaged at Kulshekar and one person has been injured.

Kottara, Malemar, Padavinangadi, Pumpwell and Ballalbagh areas where the water logging was heavier are normal now.

Schools and colleges are closed today after deputy commissioner declared holiday on account of rains.
