Mangaluru, Jul 21: An orientation programme for NSS volunteers was organized on July 20 at the college auditorium of Milagres College.

The programme began with prayer. The chief guest and resource person Prof Ignatius Noronha, HOD department of Commerce, Canara College Mangaluru, Prof Lourdusamy, academic advisor, Milagres College, Cassin Rodrigues, vice principal, NSS programme officer Nikhil Martis were present on the dais.

Nikhil Martis, NSS programme officer welcomed the gathering. The resource person Prof Ignatius Noronha oriented the NSS volunteers on the activities of the National Service Scheme; he also enlightened them on being an NSS volunteer how to provide service to society. He conducted a few activities which clearly explained how life and service can be dedicated to society through National Service Scheme.

Cassin Rodriguez, vice principal proposed the vote of thanks. Ivin D'Souza, NSS secretary compered the entire programme. The programme ended with the National Service Scheme song.
