Mangaluru: Khadi, handloom outfits hit the ramp at ‘Huts to City Lights’ fashion show

Mangaluru Jul 16: Principal of Sri Devi Institute of Fashion Technology Kasturi J Shetty along with other dignitaries launched 'Tharam Entertainments’ ‘Huts to City Lights’ fashion show here at BMS Hotel on Sunday, July 15, with a theme showcasing the talents of designers with Khadi and handloom outfits.

The event started with a welcome Bharatanatyam dance by Manthra Natyakala Gurukula Ullal presenting ‘Mahaganapatim’ choreographed by Nrutya Shiromani Vidhwan Shravan Ullal.

The owner of Ashirwad Healthcare, Dr Vikram Rao was felicitated on the occasion.



The main attraction of the evening, the fashion show, commenced with a ramp walk by Jeevan Gatty and team for designer Manthra. Actress Shreya Anchan was the show stopper for designer Manthra, Craft Boutique led by Mustaq Meer, Hasta Kala Creation led by Kavitha Pai and also students of Sri Devi Institute of Fashion Designing led by Kasturi J Shetty walked the ramp.

There was a special performance by Saurav Salian from comedy reality show ‘Maja Bharatha’, Shika from Daijiworld Junior Masti, Amrutha Maroor, Danisha Surathkal, Sanika Alva and Vrudhhi Jain.

Proprietor of Tharam Entertainments Geeth Bangera, actresses Sheetal Nayak and Swathi Bangera, Yogish Shetty Jeppu, owner of Sizzling Guys Studio Shubhakiran Mani, actor Sanam G Amin, actress Josita Anola Rodrigues, Hema Bangera, Rohidas, Coastalwood producer Sachin, Mr Karnataka Sairam Poojary, Hamza, port health officer Dr Jaison and others were present.

The programme was compered by Saheel Rai.

    The beauty off these natural fabrics Khadi was that keep you cool in the summer and warm in cold times.Even these clothes doesn't get crushed that is the secret.Thats why these politicians have become center of attraction.
