Udupi: Palimaru Math swamiji distributes uniforms to school children

Udupi, Jul 15: Paryaya Shri Palimaru Math seer Shri Vidyadeesha Theertha Swamji on Saturday, July 14 distributed uniforms to the children of 100 schools. Swamiji had started Chinnara Santharpane, a mid-day meal programme during his first Paryaya.

Santhosh Kumar, MP Telangana state, was the chief guest for the function. He said, “In Telangana we have a good CM. Chandrashekar Rao is a very good person. He was the first CM to conduct a huge yaga. He respects Brahmins and honours them at his residence when visited. Hinduism is in no danger in Telangana under his reign.”

Santhosh Kumar donated Rs 5 lac for the Chinnara Santarpane programme. Uniforms were distributed to more than 10,000 students. “This will be continued next year also. During my last Paryaya, I had started mid-day meal programme for children. Inspired by this, even the government started to provide mid-day meals to children. I am thankful to the seers of all eight Maths who continued to provide mid- day meals,” said Shri Vidyadeesha Theertha Swamji.

Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Sode Math, Shri Eesah Priya Theertha Swamiji of Admaru Math, and Raghupathi Bhat, Udupi MLA were present during the function.
