Kundapur, Jun 23: A petrol tanker lost control and entered the yard of a house at Kakkunje cross here on Friday, June 22.

The tanker filled with petrol was on its way from Mangaluru to Hoovina Hadalu, Shivamogga on Friday when its driver lost control over it near Kakkunje cross, Haladi. The tanker came to a halt after it entered the yard of the house of Subraya Achar on the left side of the road. As the vehicle moved slowly and hit the compound wall, a major disaster was averted.



Mahesh, the driver received minor bruises. Fire brigade staff arrived and lifted the tanker. A small amount of petrol leaked from the tanker.
