Mumbai: Mysore Association holds two day drama

Mumbai, June 21: A two day long drama festival was held by Mysore Association and Rangayana Mysore at Mysore Association auditorium, Matunga here on Saturday evening, June 16.

“I am glad to see Kannadigas speaking Kannada here. B V Karanth is the baba of Kannada dramas. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, there is no place where he does not have his pupils. The drama actors have made his dream of dramatics a reality. Rangayana is not a team of dramatists but a huge cultural tree,” said Rangayana director Bagheerathi Bhai setting in motion the drama festival.



Dr B R Manjunath welcomed the gathering and compered the programme. Mysore Association chief secretary Dr Ganapathi S Shankaralinga thanked everyone.

Rangayana Mysore troupe performed 'Shikari' drama based on the novel written by Yashwanth Chittala.
