Modi does not utter single word against rapists, busy with Mann ki Baat: Rahul in Bhatkal

Bhatkal, Apr 27: AICC president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday April 26 targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government for failing to fulfill promises made during 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

After inaugurating Janashirvada rally in Bhatkal on April 26, Rahul said that Modi had promised to deposit Rs 15 lac into every Indian's account but he failed to fulfill it.

He further said, "BJP chief Amit Shah's son Jay Shah's income which was only Rs 50,000 doubled in a short span of time and now he has business worth thousands of crores. Other businessmen Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi and Vijay Mallya are benefitted by PM Modi. Modi who projects himself as the protector of India's pride has failed to talk about these looters.

"Modi who is scared of the media is busy in Mann ki Baat. A BJP leader is the culprit in a rape case but he does not utter a single word. Meantime, there is a call for 'beti bachao' and the BJP has forgotten the latter part ‘Beti Padao’ instead there is an alternate slogan that is 'BJP se Bachao'."

He further said, "Congress is dedicated to protect the rights of Kunubi, Halakki, Gouli and other backward communities in Uttara Kannada. Congress will also help NRIs who have lost jobs in Saudi Arabia and Dubai."

CM Siddaramaiah addressing the gathering said, "Ananth Kumar Hegde who is a Lok Sabha member from Uttara Kannada is not fit to be even a gram panchayat member. He compares Dalits to dogs and says that writers do not have an identity of their parental blood. Amending the Constitution is not his idea but it is the true agenda of the BJP. The BJP says the statement by Hegde on Constitution was his personal opinion but has retained him as the union minister."

Mallikarjuna Kharge, K C Venugopala, R V Deshpande, D K Shiv Kumar, B K Hariprasad, Chandrashekara G C, Salim Ahmed, MLA Mankalu Vaidya and other Congress leaders were present.

In 60 yrs of your party rule... have you gone through any rape case in detail ? Many have been killed after raping in Kashmir, Kerala, UP, Maharashtra and other states... Why you did not take any severe action to punish the culprits ? Have you done any ammendments to existing laws to hang them or imprisonment till death ? More over our lawyers go to higher courts and fight for these criminals in big voice and finally case is dismissed.... this is the fate... What happened to those girls murdered after raping in South kanara when they were back from college ? No body talks a single word and totally lost them out of their mind... Local adminiatration and police should do their job to curb the crime, Have any central ministers visited these cases in mangalore and south kanara when you were ruling ? Dont simply blah blah like crow... see - the curent rule made by centre - HANG till death for rape cases - Your govt is simply ignoring since last 60 yrs, even for terrorists you feel pity and some NGO' s raise voice for punishment they get from courts... this is the situation you have created in India since your party rule....

RG can never answer any questions asked to him properly.. No idea about what he speaks, only criticism does not work.. never spoke development.. If he want any answers from our PM, ask him not with Public and damage the name of our PM. Problems are there and we need to work on these issues united with out pointing on one person or one party or one religion or region.. Give opinions on how to solve issues.

Rahul should understand that he is prime minister. Not a ordinary president of a political party which don't even have 30 MPs.

Congress & other intellectuals reacts to selective rape incidents only, where they can get political gain. Nobody raise their voice for Geeta, victim from Ghaziabad , raped at a Madrasa by Maulvi. Why do you differentiate the victims by their religion?

Why should the PM talk or discuss about rapist while he has implemented death sentance. This shows Rahul is not even aware of the new law that has been incepted for the rapists and we call him as our future PM. India shall go to cats & dogs if the country goes into hands of non-experienced politicians.
