Dubai: Gulf Voice of Mangalore Season 6 – UAE auditions on May 11

Dubai, Mar 7: Mangalore Konkans, a pioneer organization in the UAE promoting Konkani language and culture, has announced the auditions of much-awaited Gulf Voice of Mangalore- Season 6.
The UAE auditions of the Konkani talent hunt singing show will be held on May 11 at Fortune Hotel Al Qusais at 4.30 pm.

There are male and female categories for persons of 18 years and above. There is no upper age limit. 6 persons from each category will qualify for the semi-finals to be held on September 28.

1 person from each category will represent the UAE in the finals which will be held in Kuwait in the month of November 2018.

The first three winners in each category will be honoured with a trophy and certificate.

The rules are as follows:

a) The competition is open to all Konkani speaking individuals in the UAE holding a valid UAE residence visa. Representation to Gulf Voice of Mangalore is only for Konkani speaking people of Dakshina Kannada origin.
b) The language of singing is Konkani.
c) Time limit for solo is 3 minutes.
d) One musical instrument / accompaniment is allowed.
e) Contestants cannot refer to lyrics written on paper, palm, mobile, iPad, or any other medium. Referring to the above will disqualify the participant.
f) Last date of submission of entries is 30 April 2018
g) Total number of entries for each category is limited to 25 on a first come first serve basis.
h) Organizers reserve the right to amend/cancel the event with prior notice in case of insufficient entries or for any other reason.
i) Presentation should not be offensive / abusive in any respect. Contestant will be immediately disqualified in such case.
j) A panel of judges will judge competition and their decision is final and binding.
