It is laughable that you are holding the lawyers and judges culpable for grave crimes that they are engaged in their professional capacity.
You probably have been influenced by Sunny Deol’s dialogues in the movie Damini, which makes a good movie storey-line, but fails miserably in terms of the actual proceedings in a court.

A judge in a criminal trial evaluates evidences presented by the prosecution and defence to rule on the ‘facts’ of the case; and hears arguments from both the side to evaluate the application of the law in a particular case. Where is his culpability?

A criminal defence lawyer must act in the best interest of his client. This is part of the code of conduct of the legal profession in any country with a decent criminal justice system. Hence if he identifies any weakness in prosecution’s case, he is duty bound to exploit it for the benefit of his client. Also, please understand that a defence lawyer’s job is not just to prove is client innocent. So, where is the lawyer’s culpability?

Please note that corruption in the justice system is an altogether different matter and this problem cannot be addressed by denying an acceptable standard of legal defence to any accused. Moreover, the right to legal defence is a fundamental right under our constitution and a breach of such a right could actually result in acquittal in HC / SC appeal stages.

Don't blame lawyers, its their profession to conduct cases. If any lawyer does not represent the accused, then court will appoint a lawyer to the accused. Criminals are not letoff due to lawyers argument, they are let off due to improper inquiry or evidence and inefficiency of IO.

Rampanna I guess all the above styles are good but if it was one of my own killed i would also add my own style and kill those involved. Islamic Law is the best and should be implemented if you want to see your near and dear ones safe and sound.

Mob justice thrives in Taliban controlled area, NWFP Pakistan, ISIS controlled area, Yemen and Somalia. Are you willing to send your kids to go and live in those areas?

Moreover, who decides if someone is a culpable of the crime? If your logic is applied surely, the poor bus conductor in Ryan school murder case would already been turned into ashes by now. Is this the kind of justice your seeking?

at the rate we see justice prevalent in India, i would prefer any style as long as justice is done fast and swift. Imagine the state of family members waiting for years to see justice. i do agree that even in countries that have Islamic law there are still crimes but that rate is less compared to what we see in India on a daily basis. Jab apne pe aati hai tho sab chalta hai, koi be style chalta hai.
